The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.

 

 

 

Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Facilities Management Space & Projects Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previously worked anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.

 

Work based exposure may include the following:

  • Space planning principles and parameters
  • Drafting of drawings including detailed working drawings
  • Building codes and regulations, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
  • Measuring premises, extracting information from drawings, simple building cost estimating.
  • Drafting of documentation, specifications, finishing schedules, database collection, creation and upkeep of the database, elementary project management, drawing pivots and graphs using database information, etc.

  

Qualifications and other Requirements

    • Certified copy of Grade 12/ Matric certificate.
    • Certified copy of B degree/ B-Tech Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture/ Interior Architecture.
    • Certified copy of your ID.
    • Certified copy of Academic transcript (applications with no transcripts will be eliminated).

    • The successful candidate will be required to display the following competencies in this role:
    • Written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Technically orientated.
    • Detail orientation.
    • Desire and potential to learn.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Computer literate.  MS Excel and MS Project proficiency would be an added advantage.
    • Experience and qualification to do architectural drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Architecture would be an added advantage.
    • Prioritize tasks as needed
