The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.

 

 

 

Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the IT Governance, Risk & Compliance Internship from unemployed graduates aged between 18 to 25 years. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. The verification process will determine whether the candidate has previously worked anywhere in the Republic of South Africa.

 

Work-based exposure may include the following: (populate in the form of Summary)

 

  • Exposure to IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks and principles.
  • Participation in IT risk assessments, including identification, analysis, and documentation of technology risks.
  • Support in audit activities (internal and external), including evidence collection, tracking of findings, and follow-up actions.
  • Assistance with compliance monitoring, ensuring adherence to regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity governance, including access management reviews, incident reporting processes, and security awareness initiatives and training.
  • Support in third-party and vendor risk assessments, including due diligence and risk rating activities.
  • Participation in disaster recovery planning and testing, including documentation and drill exercises.
  • Assistance with policy and procedure development, reviews, and updates.
  • Use of GRC tools and risk registers to log, track, and report risks, issues, and remediation actions.
  • Development of professional reporting skills, including risk summaries, management reports, and presentations.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as IT Security, Audit and regulations.
  • Development of soft skills, including stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, and professional ethics.

 

Qualifications and Other Requirements

  • Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  •       Information Technology / Computer Science/Systems/ Risk Management/ Internal Audit National Diploma or Degree
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript
  • Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration

The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
