The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.
Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Programme Delivery Management Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of twelve (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Interns appointed to this programme will participate in a structured rotational placement across both Senior Officer: Project Delivery Management and Specialist: Programme and Project Management functions within the Organisational Transformation Department. The programme is designed to provide end-to-end exposure to programme and project delivery within a large public-sector organisation, enabling learners to develop both foundational coordination skills and advanced project delivery competencies.
Work based exposure may include the following: (populate in the form of Summary)
- Project Coordination and Operational Support: assisting with scheduling, meeting logistics, action taking, and maintaining project documentation.
- Project Planning, Execution, and Governance: exposure to development of project plans, preparation of governance documents, monitoring and controlling execution and budget management.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: work closely with project sponsors, owners, service providers, and other stakeholders, utilizing communication and engagement techniques, multi-disciplinary relationship management, and involvement in project awareness.
- Reporting, Compliance and Risk Management: gain practical experience preparing operational and management reports, supporting compliance with policies and procedures, developing and maintaining risks and issues registers, learning how risks are proactively identified, mitigated and escalated, and understanding governance requirements for public-sector environments.
- Programme Delivery and Strategic Alignment: exposure to programme-level coordination of multiple projects and how project contribute to strategic organisational objectives.
- Professional Skills and Workplace Readiness: development of professional competencies encompassing planning, organising, prioritisation, communication, teamwork, ethical conduct, client service orientation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications and other Requirements
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Business Management or related fields.
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
