The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.
Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Finance Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include any of the following
Claims Payment Management
- Verify and approve payments in line with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
- Confirm the accuracy, validity, completeness, and existence of payments through inspection of supporting documentation
- Verify payee details against trigger and supporting documents
- Validate banking details and payment amounts
- Prevent duplicate payments by reviewing financial enquiry reports and supporting documents
- Attend to and resolve payment-related queries timeously
- Maintain positive working relationships with claimants, attorneys, service providers, and colleagues
Financial Management
- Ensure accurate, valid, and complete processing of claims payments
- Interrogate payment documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of batch reports
Stakeholder Relations
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries
- Assist with information requests from service providers and clients
- Ensure invoices are processed and paid timeously
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Support effective service delivery in the claims payment function
- Report instances of non-compliance
- Ensure queries are resolved within prescribed turnaround times
Reporting
- Assist with the preparation and submission of operational and financial reports
Qualifications and other Requirements
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / NQF level 4 certificate
- Certified copy of Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Commerce/Financial
Accounting/Accounting related qualification
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
