Internship: Litigation & Mediation X1

The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.
Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Litigation & Mediation Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include the following
- Interns will be given practical workplace structured training and on the job training and development, this will be combined with the theoretical training already acquired regarding Delictual Law, Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence
- Practice Management
- Service and filing of documentation at Court
- Attendance at Pre-Trial Conferences and compilation of Pre-Trial Minutes
- General administration work
- Drafting of correspondence, pleadings, notices, affidavits and applications
- Observation of and assistance for State Attorneys at Court
- Service and filing of notices
- Judgment monitoring and case outcomes reporting
- Filing Bills of costs upon receipt as well as assistance in opposing taxations
- General administrative work on LMS
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificate.
- Certified NQF level 7 bachelor’s degree in law
- Certified copy of Academic transcript applications with no academic transcript will not be considered.
- Certified copy of your ID
- Your CV and motivational letter
- Applicants must be unemployed, were never employed in the field of post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of post previously.
- The applicant must not have previously served as an intern.

Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
