Intern: Adjudication

The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.
Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Adjudication Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include the following:
- Apply funeral benefit adjudication rules to determine quantum
- Generate funeral product offer using relevant offer template.
- Receive and record medical management bill review assessment outcome.
- Check substantial compliance with RAF Act.
- Check and activate pre defined injury specific undertaking from accident information centre.
- Confirm and record Medical management recommendations.
- Review the claim against the general damages adjudication standards.
- Produce documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations.
- Review the claim against the loss of earnings adjudication standards.
- Adjucate the LOE product claim in line with the approved policy/SOP.
- Review the claim against the loss of support adjudication standards
- Deal with/and respond to correspondence.
Qualifications and other Requirements
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Certified copy of Relevant Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
