The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.

 

 

 

Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Medical Management Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.

 

1. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

 

Work based exposure may include the following: 

 

Medical Management Section:

 

  • Drafting and activation of undertakings
  • Case management
  • Bill Review of medical invoices
  • Preauthorization of rehabilitation services
  • Drafting of Treatment plans

 

Undertaking/ Medical Payments Section:

 

  • Medical Payments assessments -capture invoices and request payments
  • Caregiver Payments administration
  • Trust/ curators assessments and payments

 

Qualifications and other Requirements

 

  • Certified copy of Grade 12/Matric certificate
  • Certified copy of Bachelor’s degree in Health Science/Medical/Law Related Qualification
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript (applications without transcripts will be eliminated)
  • Your CV and motivational letter

3. REMUNERATION 

 

The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
